Pros and cons of iParadox – Alarm System Control app for iPhone and iPad

iParadox – Alarm System Control app good for

Congratulations! Very nice app. But, where is EVO48? I have 5 stores and my house with EVO48.
It should have notifications enabled to send alarm events. Hope it works on iOS 5. Holding the update here...
Very fast Lan and internet conection , but push notifications when in "alarm" is missed. Easy to set up and usage. Definetly a must have with Paradox.
Works well and stable on my system. Would like a status push to phone in a future version
It was a bit tricky to get set up and working as there is zero instructions. You will need to open port 10000 tcp only inbound to your IP100 module. You also have to set up dynamic dns with paradoxmyhome system. Then you have to set up your ip100 to update with the service. Finally, you have to use the ip tools program to register the system on the dns system which also is tricky to figure out. Paradox needs to write a manual and put it online. In the end it works! Update v3.0 Awesome. Now you can control up to 4 alarms systems. If you upgrade from prior version and it crashes on startup, uninstall and reinstall and that will fix it. V3.0 appears to wipe your settings so write them down before you upgrade.
This app works well... Ive relied on it for many months. It would be nice if it did push notifications, but since the IP module can be configured to email, push notifications arent really needed. FYI, to prevent the latest version from crashing, I had to uninstall and reinstall. After that it worked fine.

Some bad moments

It is too complicated to make port forwarding in some routers. It could be easier to fill DNS to address IP for dynamic IPs.
The app works fine for the basics functions but need update for iOS 8 urgently and need to fix the screen for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus, the screen is ridiculous in this versions. With price we pay for the app it need delivery much more like notifications and running in background monitoring the alarm with push notifications.
The app is ok. But push notification is missed. It would be also good to have a panic buttom in the app.
I was really excited to see that they added EVO support so I tried the light version and it worked with the EVO so I paid for the full version. I Installed the paid version and it was working fine for a day. Then I upgraded to IOS 5 and the app now crashes on startup. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. This is happening on the iPhone4 and an iPad. Lots of potential and I liked what I saw when it was running before The IOS 5 upgrade. I am hoping for a fix for this. Is anyone else experiencing this? Will upgrade the rating once it gets resolved.
I can confirm that this app does not work with iOS 5. It crashes shortly after the prompt for pin. Hopefully this will be fixed soon, as otherwise it is a pretty decent app. 4 stars with iOS 4, it would be 5 if it could dump the history of the panel (ie what time codes have been entered). Currently it just keeps track of tripped alarms, and open zones.
Issues: - Problem with the screen format - Impossible to use the buttons on the bottom of the screen (PGM, etc...) - Impossible to view open areas. Please post an update ASAP
